Miele Touchtronic Tumble Dryers at a Glance

Angled Controls Advanced Touchtronic Controls 8 Drying Programs
Angled controls

Some of Miele’s tumble dryers have an angled control panel. The 23.5° angle makes the controls very easy to read without bending over: a perfect design for freestanding installation. We also have straight controls for built-in or integrated installations.

Advanced Touchtronic controls

With all of the fabric cleaning possibilities available in Miele washing machines, surprisingly, you do not need a degree in mechanical engineering to use it. Our engineers came to the United States and listened to your advice on common wash programs and specialty cycles. They compiled these requirements and created a 1-2-3 program approach that allows you to quickly and easily select a cycle that will adjust the water, temperature, soak and spin speeds to manage your cleaning task. Of course, there may be occasion to override Miele's programs, in which case you can customize your own program and command the machine's cycle. In essence, you have both automatic and standard shift controls on this piece of precision German engineering.

8 drying programs

A combination of moisture-based and timed-drying programs are available on every tumble dryer. Settings range from machine iron, to prepare items for the rotary iron, to an extra dry setting for storing linens.

Drying Sensors Interior Light Interim Stages
Drying sensors

Miele’s Novotronic design uses electronic sensors to determine moisture levels in the laundry. This design ensures proper drying every time. No more over-drying associated with machines that only offer timed drying.

Interior light

An incandescent light on the interior of the machine lets you see everything inside.

Interim stages

Indicator lights tell you when interim drying stages have been reached, allowing you to remove certain items if you wish. After the proper drying stage is reached, a cool down cycle begins. This is followed by an anti-crease mode if the laundry is left unattended.

Condenser dryer

In all cases, the best and most effective way for a dryer to operate is with an external vent. However, a vent is not always practical or possible, especially in high-rise buildings. For these solutions, Miele has a viable solution: The condenser dryer. A condenser dryer takes the moist air released from your laundry and mixes it with cool air. This process returns the moisture to water, which is either collected in a container or is pumped away to a drain line. Miele dryers are so effective and well sealed that very little moisture escapes from the system. This allows the condenser dryer to go just about anywhere: a closet, bathroom, kitchen, or, of course, a laundry room.

Condenser container

A special, pullout container on condenser models collects the moisture removed from your laundry. This container is very easy to empty and replace. Condensed water can also be pumped directly into a drain line.

Honeycomb Dryer Drum
Honeycomb dryer drum

The Honeycomb pattern on the tumble dryer drum arch outwards, creating little pockets. In these little pockets, warm air collects, which softly cushions the laundry load during the tumbling process and items come out with fewer creases and reduces ironing.
