Miele Novotronic Washing Machines at a Glance

All Miele washing machines utilize advanced surface mounted design (SMD) technology Novotronic controls. This solid state, electronic microprocessor monitors everything from water levels to spin speeds and makes adjustments when needed.

The digitally controlled, motor driven, drum adjusts its speed to shower, soak and wash your laundry. The horizontal drum design provides a gentler, more effective washing than the vertical drums found in most top loaders.

An integral part of Miele’s Hydromatic wash system, the specially designed fins scoop and ladle sudsy water over your laundry. When the drum moves at higher speeds, these fins tumble your laundry to force the dirt out. The stainless steel is extremely durable and resists dents and nicks.

A time driven alternative to the extended wash programs; the rapid wash programs offer excellent results in a much shorter time.

A special program designed for fine woolens. This cycle is predominantly a soak cycle with very little agitation, to safely and gently cleanse wool fibers.

Due to the unique Hydromatic wash system, Miele washing machines use very little water per load: a mere 13.4 gallons of water for a load of cottons. Over time, such little consumption can save thousands of dollars in natural resources.

With some Novotronic models, you can delay the start of the programs up to 9 1/2 hours. You can now do your laundry overnight and have it ready when you wake in the morning. This also allows you to take advantage of overnight electric rates. When operating, the time remaining in the program is displayed.

Some of Miele’s washing machines have an angled control panel. The 23.5° angle makes the controls very easy to read without bending over: a perfect design for freestanding installations. We also have straight controls for built-in or integrated installations.

Another unique Miele feature, the ball valve system seals the outer drum to prevent detergent from being wasted. This design ensures that the little detergent that you do use is put to work and not washed away.

The easy to clean lint filter removes loose fibers and other objects from the wash water. This filter protects the drain pump and unscrews to be cleaned easily under a faucet.

The Novotronic controls continuously monitor both the intake and the drain lines. If it detects a problem, indicator lights on the control panel advise you immediately.

For extra thorough cleaning of your laundry, the Water Plus system increases the water levels of the certain programs. This feature has special benefits for people who are sensitive or allergic to detergents.

Some Miele washing machines can spin at speeds up to 1600 RPM (the W1903A reaches 1200). High spin speeds help reduce drying time by extracting the water in the washing machine. The Novotronic controls prevent delicate items from being spun at too high a speed.

Miele washing machines automatically adjust water levels based on the load size which means no more guessing with a half load button. Larger loads get more water to guarantee a proper wash.

With all the activity taking place inside, Miele washing machines need to be very stable. Miele’s unique cast iron cradle stabilizes the drum, and the entire system is supported by shock absorbers.

The W1930i and W1119 washers and T1329C clothes dryer accept a 3/4" thick custom cabinet panel. This unique installation blends the washing machine into the surrounding cabinets, leaving only the control panel visible.

A special program on the W1903A, this temperature guaranteed wash program provides a quick wash cycle with exceptional results.

These special programs are designed specifically for your fine woolens and delicates. They safely and gently clean fine hand-wash fibers such as angora, mohair and silk with very little agitation.
