The World's First Ever HEPA-certified Canister Vacuum Cleaners
Miele's legacy as a world leader in vacuum cleaner design and engineering continues to be proven through its most recent product series, the S4 and S5 series canisters. Most impressively, the S4 and S5 series represent the world's first ever certified vacuum cleaners. Using a certified HEPA filter is important, because it is rated to retain 99.9% of all lung-damaging particles 0.3 microns and larger. However, that is only half of the picture.
The "full picture" would include a HEPA filter installed in a sealed environment, one that does not leak air prior to being filtered.
Miele S4 and S5 series canister vacuums deliver on both counts. People especially concerned with indoor-air quality will be pleased to know that the S4 and S5 series was tested against one of the world's most stringent filtration standards (EN 1822).
Much to our delight, virtually all particulate matter was contained within these vacuums, earning the S4 and S5 series the world's first certificate of HEPA certification: Vacuum cleaner and HEPA filter, working in tandem.
