Toronto – January 17, 2018 – Miele Canada is proud to return for the ninth year at the Interior Design Show and for the seventh year as the official Trade Day Sponsor.  The Miele Canada booth is always one of the highlights and a “must-see” exhibit amongst design enthusiasts.  Miele continues to be the premium kitchen appliance brand of choice by consumers, interiors designers, architects and real estate developers.

With the expansion of IDS19 Contract to include commercial trade and professionals, Miele will also be the official Trade Day Sponsor of IDS19 Contract that takes place on Thursday and Friday.  Miele Professional will be presented in a booth space highlighting the wide range of products to service differing commercial needs and designs.

The main Miele booth is #LifeBeyondOrdinary.  The main attraction of the Miele booth will be the exclusive 16-seat Culinary Journey.  Our guests will have the opportunity to experience a 4-course menu in 45 minutes. Once inside the restaurant, guest will be ensured an experience #LifeBeyondOrdinary.  They will hear about Miele global innovation in the area of cooking and will learn about the vision of the brand.

The Miele Canada booth at IDS19 is excited to be showing new product categories that will be launched in the near future.

MasterCool II will make its debut at the show providing guests with a sneak peek at the evolution of the Miele refrigeration series with new models and new features.  The design of the new generation MasterCool has been further enhanced by adding a metallic look to the rear panel of the interior cabinet and the inner door face. This facilitates cleaning and supports perfect, glare-free illumination.  This lighting concept on the MasterCool uses narrow LED light strips, which flood the cabinet with light.  MasterCool II also has the Push2Open or Pull2Open selections to keep on point with the handleless trend in kitchens and living rooms while making it easier for consumers to open the door.  Miele has enhanced the current product offering by adding a 24” column all fridge, 24” column all freezer along with the much anticipated new 36” French Door refrigerator.  All MasterCool II generation will be WiFi enabled and accessible through the Miele@Home app, allowing temperature changes and activation of rapid cooling and freezing functions to be performed from the convenience of an app. Similarly, warning notifications, as an example the door alarm, are relayed straight to a smartphone if the refrigerator door in inadvertently left open.

Last year, W1T1 Laundry officially launched during IDS18 and now a year later, to further expand the reach of Miele laundry, we are proud to announce the W1T1 Classic series washer and dryer.  The W1T1 Classic series has all of the quality and engineering you would expect from Miele at an attractive price point.

Other highlights at the Miele booth for 2019 include:

Miele Vacuum Sealing bags for the Miele Vacuum Sealing Drawer- EVS 6114 that was launched at IDS18. We now have the perfect accompaniment – Miele vacuum sealing bags.  These exciting products allow home cooks to use sous-vide cooking in conjunction with the Miele Combination Convection-Steam Oven to get perfect results like professional chefs.  The Miele sealing bags are designed to perfectly compliment the EVS 6114 drawer, ideal for sous vide cooking, and can also be used to store foods in the refrigerator or freezer.  The vacuum sealing bags are suitable for solid and liquid food items, and are smooth and tear-resistant.

Miele will also be serving their restaurant guests Miele Black Edition No. 1 coffee.  The perfect complement to Miele coffee machines.   A mixture of four South American highland Arabica beans, selected and hand roasted for Miele, the Black Edition No. 1 coffee is ideal for espresso, coffee and specialty coffees with milk.

Miele Professional for the Home dishwashers PG 8130i  will also be launched at IDS19. The PG 8130i integrated dishwasher perfectly cleans 13 place settings in just under 29 minutes with a new fascia panel design that is simple to operate.  It comes with the Miele patented AutoOpen drying, Perfect GlassCare and WiFi Connectivity for mobile monitoring and control. 

2019 promises to continue 2018’s wave of innovation which included the opening of our new concept store in Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The Miele Experience Centre Yorkdale  is truly a unique showcase that allows consumers to explore the Miele brand with all their senses.  The kitchen ecosystem with an active kitchen area is the heart of the experience with culinary demonstrations several times a day.  With innovative digital installations and hands-on appliances for consumers to explore the Miele product line, Miele continues to set new standards in the appliance industry.
