The nozzles on the central spout are clogged.
CVA 40xx: Use a pointed needle to penetrate the coffee spout openings. Then, clean the brew unit in accordance with the operating instructions.
CVA 5xxx: Clean the central spout.
Dismantle and clean all parts of the central spout daily. This will remove coffee deposits effectively.
Pull the central spout all the way down (1).
Remove the lid by pulling it forward (2).
Turn the lid over.
Push the insert up and out from inside the cover.
Clean both parts thoroughly.
The insert has a small oval hole at the top through which the coffee flows into the hollow body. The coffee flows out of the two holes at the bottom of the insert.
Fill the top hole of the insert with water. Keep all 3 holes of the insert closed.
Shake the insert. The coffee deposits are usually dislodged by the water.
To clean the lower coffee spouts of the insert, use a small cleaning brush if necessary.
Then slide the insert back into the lid until it clicks into place.
With the insert installed, put the lid back on the central spout.
Push the central spout up.
Then, clean the brew unit in accordance with the operating instructions.
