The brew unit is unable to move into its home position.

To move the brew unit back into its home position, proceed as follows:
Confirm the fault message with OK.
Switch the coffee machine off with the On/Off button or .
Unplug the coffee machine. Reinsert the electrical plug after 2 minutes.
Remove the brew unit and rinse under running water.
Push the coffee ejector of the brew unit into the correct position.
Do not insert the brew unit into the coffee machine.
Close the appliance door.
Switch the coffee machine on with the On/Off button or .
This will automatically initialize the brew unit drive and put it back into the home position. Noises can be heard when initializing the brew unit.
The message Insert brew unit appears on the display.
Open the appliance door.
Now slide the brew unit back into the coffee machine.
Close the appliance door.
If the message appears again, reduce the amount of coffee and/or select a finer grinder setting. Some types of coffee have a much higher grinding volume.

CM 5000/5100/5200: FAULT – 73
The drip tray was removed while the brew unit was still moving into the home position.
To move the brew unit back into its home position, proceed as follows:
Empty the drip tray and reinsert it.
Switch the coffee machine off with the On/Off button .
Press the buttons for Espresso and Coffee at the same time. Release the buttons again.
Press the OK button twice.
This will automatically initialize the brew unit drive and put it back into the home position. Noises can be heard when initializing the brew unit.
