Fill or insert milk flask

Fill or insert milk flask appears on the coffee machine display even though the milk flask has been filled and inserted.

In the event of soiling, the milk flask sensing function cannot work properly.

Soiling can cause the coffee machine to malfunction.

Make sure that the opening, the bottle neck, and the bottle flange remain clean (both when filling and when transporting the container).

Fill the milk flask with milk up to a maximum of 3/4"–1 1/4" (2–3 cm) below the rim.

Clean the milk flask and its lid at the end of each day.

Cleaning the glass milk flask:

  • Milk flask | Lid | Glass
  • Remove and empty the milk flask.

  • Clean the milk flask holder on the coffee machine with a damp cloth.

  • Both the lid and the glass flask can be cleaned in the dishwasher, or by hand using a mild solution of warm water and liquid dish soap.

  • Rinsing with water | Lid | Milk flask
  • Rinse the milk pipework in the lid under running water and then place the milk flask lid in the dishwasher.

  • If no water flows out of the milk pipework (1), dismantle the milk flask lid and clean it with the cleaning brush supplied.

  • Dismantling | Lid | Milk flask
  • Pull the milk intake tube (1) out of the milk flask lid. Ensure that you also remove seal (2) when doing this.

  • Cleaning brush | Lid | Milk flask
  • Also use the cleaning brush to clean the milk pipework in the lid from the top and bottom.

  • When assembling the milk flask: First insert the seal into the lid.

  • Assembling | Lid | Milk flask
  • There is a risk of damaging the lid seal.

Do not insert the slanted end of the milk intake tube into the seal.

  • Insert the straight end of the milk intake tube into the seal.

  • Clean the glass flask.

  • Dry all parts and especially the threads on the lid and on the glass with a clean cloth.

Cleaning the stainless steel milk flask with handle:

  • Milk flask | Handle | Stainless steel
  • The stainless steel milk flask with lid must be cleaned by hand using hot water!

  • Please clean the stainless steel flask with hot water after use to remove any residual milk.

  • Rinse the handle under running water and then clean it thoroughly with a clean damp cloth to remove any milk residue.

  • If the milk pipework in the lid is clogged, please clean it under running water using the cleaning brush. To do this, insert the cleaning brush into the milk pipework and move it back and forth as far as it will go until all milk residue has been removed.

  • Take particular care when cleaning the handle, intake tube, and thin metal rod between the tubes. Rinse the tubes under cold running water. Then leave the tubes to dry.

  • Check whether the gold contact on the right in the door (milk jug opening) is clean. Clean the gold contact if this is not the case.
