The laundry or the washing machine smells unpleasant.
In order to prevent bacteria and unpleasant odors building up in the washing machine, run the Clean Machine or Cottons programs at maximum temperature. Use the Miele IntenseClean machine cleaner. Alternatively, a universal powder detergent can be used.
Make sure that you wash at a temperature of at least 140°F (60°C) at least once a month.
Remove the laundry immediately after the end of the program.
Use the delay start (if available) to prevent longer idle times.
Leave the door and the detergent drawer slightly open to allow them to dry.
Check the detergent amount dispensed. The dispensing quantity will depend on the degree of soiling of the laundry, load size, and water hardness.
Use dispensing aids (e.g., dispenser balls) if these are supplied with the detergent, particularly when using liquid detergent.
Check the standard dispensing quantity.
