The Perfect Seasonal Treat

The natural sweetness of dates combined with the crunch of pecans, and a hint of warming spices for a treat that's as satisfying as it is festive.

With the precision of your Miele cooktop, roasting and heating ingredients becomes effortless, ensuring perfect results every time. Perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own, these no-bake bites are an easy way to embrace the season's coziness.

Ingredients:

50 g Pecan nuts, chopped
175 g Dates, dried and chopped
2 tbsp Water
35 g Rice, puffed
¼ tsp Cinnamon
⅛ tsp Nutmeg
60 g Butter, cold
50 g Sugar
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Vanilla extract
30 g icing sugar


 

Preparation:

  1. Roast the pecans in a pan without oil. Transfer them into a small bowl and set aside. Settings Cooktop: Power Level: 5; Duration: 7 Min.
  2. Grind the dates with water to a paste in a stand mixer or alternatively with a hand blender in a measuring jug.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the roasted pecans, puffed rice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Heat the butter, sugar, date paste and salt in a pan and cook until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture starts to bubble. Settings Cooktop: Power Level: 6; Duration: 5 Min.
  5. Add the date mixture to the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Put the icing sugar in a bowl or deep plate. Shape the slightly warm date mixture into approx. 3 cm balls with moistened hands and turn in icing sugar.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
