Official Contest Rules and Regulations
No purchase necessary. By participating in the Miele New Website Contest 2023 (the “Contest”), sponsored by Miele Canada (the “Sponsor”), each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).
1. CONTEST PERIOD:
Contest Start Date: Monday, February 13, 2023. Contest End Date: Thursday, April 13, 2023.
2. TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To gain (1) contest entry, register to receive communications from Miele Canada by completing the form located on Miele.ca. New email subscribers only.
ENTRY LIMIT: 1 entry/email address per person.
3. ELIGIBILITY:
To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec), who have reached the age of majority in their Province or Territory of residence at the time of Contest entry (each an “Entrant”). Entrants are not eligible to win if they are an employee of the Sponsor or their respective advertising or promotional agencies, the prize suppliers, or a member of the household of any of the above persons. Potential winners MAY be required to furnish proof of identification.
4. PRIZE:
1 x credit of $1,000.00 CAD to the Miele online shop.
5. SELECTION PROCESS:
On April 14, 2023, in Vaughan, Ontario, one (1) eligible potential prize winner will be randomly selected electronically. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
6. SELECTED ENTRANTS:
Before being declared a winner, the eligible winner will be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Official Rules and an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability and publicity, releasing Sponsor, Administrator, its advertising and promotional agencies, the Contest Judges, the prize suppliers and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releases") from any liability or claims in connection with this promotion or the prize. Declaration and Release documents must be returned within ten (10) business days of the date on the notification, or prize will be forfeited and potential winner disqualified. By accepting or participating in a prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, voice, statements relating to the promotion of Sponsor, and photographs or other likenesses, without further compensation, in any publicity and/or media carried out by Sponsor or any related entities in connection with this promotion, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation the Internet, unless prohibited by law.
If potential winner is found to be ineligible, declines to accept the prize, or in the event that a prize confirmation or prize is returned undeliverable, the prize may be awarded to another entrant.
7. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
a. Entrants
(i) Acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements;
(ii) Consent to the broadcast, publication and/or use, in any medium whatsoever, including any websites operated by the Contest Sponsor, of the entrant’s name, and his/her participation in the prize, for publicity purposes carried out by the Contest Sponsor or their respective advertising and promotional agencies without payment or compensation of any kind; and
(iii) Agree that Releases are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, microsite, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any microsite, website or online service, or any other error or malfunction.
Entries that have been submitted through illicit means will be judged void and may be excluded.
If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor and/or Administrator which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, the Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest in part or in full. The Releases reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of this contest or website or violates the Official Rules of this contest. All decisions of Sponsor, Administrator, its agents and the independent contest organization are final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion.
b. In the event that it is discovered that an entrant has entered more than once or using different and/or the same email addresses, he/she will be disqualified and the respective eligible prize claim will become null and void and the entrant will not be entitled to claim any prize. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address used at time of entry. The selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized email address holder associated with the selected on-line entry.
c. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor. Communication will take place with the entrant(s) selected as the potential winners. By entering the contest, entrants understand and agree that their personal information may be shared with other 3rd parties for the purpose of facilitating the sending of informational or marketing communications, and entrants further understand and agree that personal information, as shared with the other party, will be subject to the other party’s privacy policy and information handling standards and practices.
d. Entrant(s) and/or winner assume liability for injuries caused, or claimed to be caused by participating in the promotion, by the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded, including but not limited to claims/damages for personal injury, or property damage.
e. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
8. DISCLOSURES:
a. Any attempt by an entrant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Participation engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won.
